Head on over to The Outlier Collective for a guest post I wrote about health, and how our modern definition is actually the furthest thing from it.
How To Work From Home
19 JunJust a little somethin’ somethin’ I wrote on The Official How To Blog. Now you too can look uber professional while wearing a Whitesnake T-shirt, and pants with a rip in the inner thigh.
Thinking about working from home? Take this short quiz to find out if it’s for you:
- Do you want to work from home?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then working remotely is right for you. The following steps will help you find success in the virtual work world.
Step 1. Convince your employer it’s a good idea to let you work from home
Most people make the mistake of giving a presentation showcasing why working remotely is more productive than working in an office setting. All this does is convince your boss you hate her by forcing her to lose minutes of her life listening to your boring pitch. I prefer the Liability Method wherein you sprain your thumb in a freak copier accident, or sexually harass yourself in front of others. Legal will be more than happy to keep their “lawsuit on legs” out…

Interview with Brother Jon: Hooked on Tonics Answered for Me
15 MarPop on over to BroJo’s blog and read all about my love of David Hasselhoff, how I almost turned into a Kardashian, and the part I played in the resignation of the former Pope.
Reblog: Hi I’m David The site’s Author & A blogger may have been tortured to death in an Iranian jail
9 NovDavid, aka Mr. Mary, reminds us all of what a privilege it is to be a blogger. Here in the US we can express ourselves freely with the greatest backlash being negative feedback from an internet troll. There are people losing their lives over the words they speak (or type) and we should be grateful we can do that without worry.
Hi Everyone,
My name is David and I’m the guy who created this site as well as the character of MrMary MF Poppins. I am a very private person, and have never used my first name on this site, but something rather serious has happened that has given me pause for reflection.
Today while working on the site I realized that in a few days this blog will turn one years old. I really love writing here so much so that I have neglected my other blogs. You the readers have given me the opportunity to be both serious silly and every other emotion in between those extremes. Nowhere else could I blur the lines between sybaritic diction and imagery, openly vocal philosophical reflection, satirical recapitulations of the events of the day, and all around merry-making as evidenced in this picture below where I went full method for…

Le-duel: Jen and Tonic
21 SepHead over to A Clown on Fire and help me crush the competition in this post I wrote for Clown’s blogging duel against Edward Hotspur. Yeah, I handed his ass to him. Did you expect any less?
Sweet Mother’s Shout Out to J&T
13 MaySweet Mother wrote a post about me, and I loved it so much I almost cried. Almost. I’m not a sissy. PLEASE check it out, and make sure to follow SM. She’s a blogging rockstar.
First a note: Happy Mother’s day to all, from your favorite CHILDLESS MOMMY BLOGGER, ME! Second, I know a lot of you have given me some great awards and I have not, as of yet, had time to respond to them, but I promise I will in some way. So, thank you and know that a “fun with awards” type post is on the way.
Now on to the important stuff. Today I would like to introduce this week’s reggie. I call her, “the blogger who I would most like to have drinks with.” (There are a lot of you who fall into that category, but this girl is way high up on that list…) Maybe it’s the title of her blog that makes me feel particularly boozy when I think of her or maybe it’s just her darned hilarious commentary. Every time this blogger stops by my blog…

Viciously Sweet: Jen and Tonic Edition
17 AprThere are three reasons you need to hop on over to Viciously Sweet’s blog:
(1) She has amazing illustrations that just make life better
(2) She blogs about the professional knowledge her coworker, Eric, drops on the office. You don’t want to miss his nuggets of wisdom.
(3) This post features toast, talk of Jon Hamm’s sexiness, and a picture that makes me appear 100 times better looking than I do in real life.
Viva Viciously Sweet!
Since my return to the internet. I have not even come close to catching up on all the things I’ve missed.
But whilst perusing some of the internets I particularly love I found that Jen from Sips Of Jen and Tonic made a fabulous post about Sakura-Con. And where I have not Con’d in a while I still appreciate it. Read her post here.
And Then when I scrolled down the page of her post I feel like I met my destiny. To clarify she did not have a strikingly handsome picture of Jon Hamm posted on her site… what she did have is a picture of a glorious Toast costume.
And it was like this kismet moment that only happens in a Meg Ryan movie. I just knew that someday I needed to be dressed like a toast. That toast is my Sleepless in Seattle, it is my…
