About J&T

Jen and Tonic was classically trained in the art of guzzling a beer in less than fifteen seconds. She is single-handedly responsible for creating the David Hasselhoff empire, and destroying Dustin Diamond’s career.

On the weekend she enjoys wearing pants with elastic in the waist, arm wrestling small children, and skinny dipping in her neighbors’ bathtubs when they’re not home. She has struggled for years with being overly badass, and scientists are currently studying her in an effort to figure out how one person can be so awesome.

Don’t forget to reach out and touch her:

Right. I haven’t blogged or even been on WordPress since February. And i’ve just got off my fat ass and posted something so thought i’d check out Her Jenness. And low and behold, YOU HAVE GONE VERY QUIET AS WELL.
Which kind of doesn’t make me feel so bad, but also makes me want to read more of your stuff.
    So where are you?
    Hope you’re well 🙂

    • Jen and Tonic 07/03/2016 at 12:51 pm #

Things have been a bit touch and go on my end which is why I haven’t written. So happy YOU are writing again. The world needs more Becky 🙂

I found you by looking for ‘humor blogs’. I used to challenge middle-schoolers to arm-wrestling, too! They always lost, and thought I was Wonder Woman. (I was just a sub, so that’s what their parents get for their tax dollars.) I only skinny dip in my own backyard, though.

    Hey Jen,
I nominated you for the Liebster Award, which is an award bloggers are giving to one another to show some love to their pages. To get the full details on what exactly this means and what to do next go to my page https://edgeofexcess.wordpress.com/2014/12/01/you-really-really-love-me/. I enjoy your blog and I wanted to share it with others.

    Happy Blogging!

I’m new here to the WordPress community so I’m stalking the comment feed of blogs I follow to find new blogs to follow…

I found you stalking Polysyllabic Profundities!

I look forward to you being in my reader!

  5. FitsofWit 09/23/2014 at 7:48 am #

    Hi Jen.
Sooooo we follow eachother on Twitter but I’ve never stalked your blog. Don’t worry. I’m stalking now while procrastinating on a project at work. Impressed? You should be.
    Fab place you’ve got here.

    • Jen and Tonic 09/24/2014 at 8:49 pm #

This blog is as distracting as Pinterest, but with a lot more bodily functions and profanity thrown in.

That’s so strange…scientists once used a sample of my DNA to create Cameron Diaz.
Great blog! I look forward to getting my teeth well and truly stuck in!

Just got my ‘Sips of Jen and Tonic’ in the mail today! It’s lovely as is the card! Thanks for much! I will use it to write kooky limericks! Thanks again!

    • Jen and Tonic 02/06/2014 at 5:33 pm #

You just got it?! I was beginning to wonder! All of the pieces I’ve sent to Canada lately have taken awhile. At least it got here 🙂

      • Thain in Vain 02/06/2014 at 6:05 pm #

Canada Post likes to take its time and if it had its druthers I wouldn’t actually deliver all that pesky old mail. Anyway, I love it! Thanks!

Very entertaining and fun blog. Glad that I found you.

    • Jen and Tonic 01/14/2014 at 2:22 pm #

      Thanks, Ron!

    Hey Jen,

Since you closed off comments for “Fools Rush In” (so we would go see the video), and I am not initiated to Sophy’s blog yet…

…well, part of me wonders if Mrs. Claus should take more fashion tips from you. Hee hee ho ho! No, seriously, I watched, and thought, “Which one is this rad chick in the Santa get up? Hmm, it must be Jen!” and then I read Sophy’s comment on her post and thought, “Ha ha, I guessed right!”

    • Jen and Tonic 01/10/2014 at 8:44 pm #

HA! Thanks, Jak. Yep, I closed comments so that all the comments would be on Le Clown’s post. Thought that might make it easier for Madame Weebles.

I bought that Santa Hat and beard at the Dollar Tree. Best $2 I ever spent.

Hiya Jen. People have such nice things to say about you, so I thought I’d pop over and say hi.

    • Jen and Tonic 01/22/2014 at 11:41 am #

Sweet lord, I never saw this. I think this was about the time I was dying from the flu, so I apologize about the delayed reply.

I pay people to say those things, and it’s nice to see my investment paying off.

      • Trent Lewin 01/22/2014 at 11:56 am #

No worries, Jen, I’d pay people to say nice things about me too, if I had any money. It all goes to diapers and appliance to clean diapers these days.

Nice to meet you. People really do say nice things, and occasionally I try to listen to nice people who say nice things.

        • Jen and Tonic 01/22/2014 at 12:03 pm #

It sounds like you need to employ a work program for your kids where they clean the messes they make. 6 months isn’t too young to be washing your own diapers.

          • Trent Lewin 01/22/2014 at 1:01 pm #

Yikes. I’m going to share this with my wife. I’ll let you know when Child Services show up.

I salute the Hoff too. And ‘Jump in my car’ is a classic (of sorts)

    • Jen and Tonic 01/22/2014 at 11:42 am #

Anyone who salutes the Hoff is okay in my book. “Jump in my car” is going to be the first song I force my future husband to dance to at our wedding.

    • Jen and Tonic 01/22/2014 at 11:42 am #

I’m so sorry I didn’t see this earlier! Thank you SO MUCH for nominating me 🙂

  13. maddvmilliner 11/27/2013 at 7:03 am #

Looking back on your recent comments you may have already been nominated for this, but I think you deserve it enough for two! I love coming back and reading your posts so I’ve nominated you for the Sunshine Blog Award: http://jigokucho.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/sunshine-blog-award/
Keep up the good work! 😀

    • Jen and Tonic 01/22/2014 at 11:44 am #

Madd- I apologize for not seeing this before. Thank you so much for the award. Means a lot to me!
